About Deacon Pete
Deacon Pete Morales is a Permanent Deacon for the Diocese of Orange, California, devoted to serving Christ and His people through preaching, pastoral ministry, spiritual formation, and outreach to Veterans and military families.
Pete is also a proud United States Army Veteran who served alongside some of the bravest and most patriotic men and women in our Nation’s military. His years of military service gave him a deep appreciation for sacrifice, brotherhood, resilience, and the spiritual strength often needed during life’s most difficult moments.
That experience continues to fuel his passion for supporting Active Duty Service Members, Veterans, and injured military personnel through faith, encouragement, and prayer.
Ordained to the diaconate in 2023, Deacon Pete is passionate about helping people encounter Christ in real and practical ways — especially those facing hardship, loneliness, fear, or the invisible wounds carried long after service ends.
Project Rosary was born from that mission.
Combining his love for the military community with his Catholic faith, Deacon Pete began crafting handmade military-style paracord rosaries as a way to place prayer, encouragement, and spiritual support directly into the hands of those serving our Nation and those recovering in VA hospitals and care facilities.
Each rosary is more than a devotional item. It is a reminder:
- that someone is praying for them,
- that they are not forgotten,
- and that God walks beside them wherever they may be.
Through partnerships with the Knights of Columbus, parish communities, and the support of the Archdiocese for the Military Services, USA, Project Rosary continues to grow as a mission of faith, hope, and spiritual support for those who serve.
Deacon Pete remains humbled and honored to continue serving both God and those who have sacrificed for our Country.
